Checking the Progress of Your PPC Ads

The idea of PPC advertising is to use other websites to attract people to yours. However, there isn’t much point in paying for just traffic when your strategy was to sell a product or service. You need those PPC ads to convert sales.

Ad construction is very simple and has three parts to it; a headline, the ad body and then the call for action. The headline is very important and should really grab the attention of the reader and then compel them to read more. The body of the ad needs to explain the benefit of the product or service. The last component of the ad is the call for action.

Many people split test their ad. Split testing is the process setting up different ads for the same product or service. The two different ads lead to different landing pages so they can be reviewed and compared. You can compare traffic rates and conversion rates, too.

Tweaks can be applied to the ad for optimum performance figures. It’s not unusual for people to spend a lot of time tinkering and adjusting ads for the life of that campaign, but only ever tinkering with the ad that performs weakest so as not to risk changing something that already works well.

Google Adwords allows for the use of affiliate programs with PPC, a benefit many others that do not. Either way, your keyword is central to your ad, and subsequently your business.

When you design your ad, don’t just try to bring traffic to your website, unless that’s your intention. If you’re using PPC to generate sales from your website then your ad should be targeted to do so. This can sometimes be easier said than done, but by putting some thought into what you are doing you should be able to get the results you want.

Google Adwords has a lot of helpful tools that will help in the design and construction of your advertisement. Along the way you’ll find a lot of very helpful tutorials and tools to help you. You need to always be on the lookout for new ideas and changes in trends that will affect your ad.

Managing a PPC campaign means keeping a close eye on all of the goings on involved and poking through lots of statistics. The perfect ad is the Holy Grail for many people and they spend a lot of time trying to achieve perfection for the ad campaign.
